Flax seed oil is a rich balanced source of essential fatty acids which play important roles in supporting brain, nerve, glandular, and eye functions. In addition, they are involved in the transport and metabolism of cholesterol and triglycerides. Essential fatty acids are further metabolized into hormone-like substances in the cell known as prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are involved in the regulation of many important physiological functions.

Flax seed oil is a natural reservoir for the omega-3 fatty acid, Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA). ALA is considered an essential fatty acid, because the body cannot make it from other fats and must obtain it from the diet. Flax Oil has been shown to support cardiovascular health and to promote the maintenance of healthy skin. Now Foods Organic Flax Oil has been specially pressed to be as close to the original oil in the seed as possible.

Suggested Use:
Take one tablespoon 1 to 2 times daily, preferably with meals. Suitable in salad dressing oil, sauces, peanut butter, yogurt and protein shakes; it can also be used in place of butter on rice, potatoes or toast.
In order to retain freshness, keep the bottle tightly closed and refrigerated.
For maximum freshness, consume within 6-8 weeks after opening.

Other Ingredients:
Organic flax seed oil (cold-pressed, unrefined and non-GMO) and a natural antioxidant blend of organic sunflower oil, organic rosemary extract, natural mixed tocopherols (from soy), ascorbic acid and citric acid.
Not manufactured with yeast, wheat, gluten, milk, egg, fish, shellfish or tree nut ingredients. Produced in a GMP facility that processes other ingredients containing these allergens.
