The Pomegranate Extract from Source® Naturals may contain a minimum of 40% ellagitannins. The pomegranate ellagitannins are converted into ellagic acid by the body. Many studies have shown that ellagic acid may act as an antioxidant that possibly promotes overall cell health. Antioxidants are known for their potential ability to protect the body from cell damage‚ which is caused by harmful molecules called the free radicals.
