Lutein Lycopene Carotene Complex from Solgar is a dietary supplement that contains ingredients that seek to support healthy eyes and may help maintain the normal ability to distinguish color, shape, and detail during normal aging.

This formula contains vitamin A as beta-carotene from carrot oil and D. salina, which provides antioxidant support and optimal bioavailability when compared to some forms of the vitamin. Vitamin A plays a key role in the vision cycle that is described as the combination of vitamin A with the protein opsin. This process forms rhodopsin that is a light-absorbing molecule and is essential to human vision.

Also in this formula is lutein from the marigold flower. Lutein is similar to beta-carotene and vitamin A, and may support healthy eyes and healthy-looking skin. Lutein is concentrated in the macula, which is a part of the eyes that is believed to allow humans to see in three dimensions.

This supplement also contain lycopene, alpha carotene, zeaxanthin, phytoene and phytofluene, which all factor into the function of carotenoids and other antioxidants that may support healthy eyes. This combination of compounds may provide optimal bioavailability and absorption.

Suggested Use:
As a dietary supplement for adults, take one (1) to two (2) vegetable capsules daily, preferably at mealtime or as directed by a healthcare practitioner.

Vegetable cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide, vegetable magnesium stearate, vegetable glycerin, caramel (color), grapeskin (color).
